However, you also have to take a look at some of your interests. You may love computer science, but it may not be the best career choice. In fact, you may be better suited to some other position. Of course, one of the main motivating factors for getting your major in computer science is that you will increase your chances of finding a job with a high salary. This can mean a lot to some people, but not a lot to other people.

Before you research computer science degrees, you may want to first make sure there is an industry in a town you would like to move to in the first place. If you don’t want to work with computers your whole life and you can see yourself getting sick of staring at a screen, coding all day, then getting your major in computer science may not be worth it after all. Indeed, you really need to love the computer science field and you have to have a sense that you will never get sick of it. If you do, you could be in a precarious place.

How Well do You do Under Pressure?

On top of everything, the computer science field is fast paced and rapid firing. If you do well under stress and under pressure, this is probably the field you should be entering. If you do not do well under stress, you may want to look for another position or field. In the end, you don’t want to let the pressure get to you or affect your health.
