How to Pay Your Bill from Your Laptop

The Internet makes everything twice as easy, and postpaid bill pay is a great example. We explain how to pay your bill using a personal computer.

Your phone is your lifeline to the world. It keeps you connected all the time, whether with family or work colleagues. You can catch up on the news, watch TV shows, play games, shop, bank, book tickets…it allows you to do most tasks within seconds, and you don’t even have to go out of doors to do so.

But all of this is possible only when you have a fast speed Internet connection that is always connected. There are two ways your phone might face connection issues: 1) When there is no network coverage in the area, and 2) When you forget to pay your phone bill.

It can happen at times that you forget to do the postpaid bill pay on time, and in turn, your phone connection might get temporarily disconnected. The connection is restored the moment you pay your bill and the payment is processed by the service provider. A good service provider like Airtel will also send SMS reminders about the bill amount and due date. What is more, you can do the postpaid bill pay and prepaid recharge at any time, from anywhere in the world.

How to do postpaid bill pay from your personal computer

If you suddenly remember (or receive a due date alert) to pay your phone bill, it is no reason to panic. Simply switch on your home or work computer/tablet, and proceed to pay the bill. All mobile service providers allow customers to pay their postpaid bills and do prepaid recharges online.

The process is really simple if you are an Airtel postpaid customer. You can do the postpaid bill pay in just a few steps, in under one minute. This is what you have to do:

  • Log on to the Airtel website,
  • Look for ‘Pay and recharge’ on the top of the page. Click on these words and you will be instantly directed to another page, which gives you three options: Pay Bill, Recharge and Add Money. Choose ‘Pay Bill’.
  • Under ‘Pay Bill’, choose ‘Postpaid’. You will now be directed to a new page, on which you must enter your 10-digit Airtel mobile number and input the amount of the bill payment. Once you enter the amount, click on ‘Continue to Pay’.
  • You will now be presented with 3 options to pay: Airtel Payments Bank/Wallet; Debit/Credit card; Net banking. Choose the most preferred option and click ‘Continue to pay’.
  • Validate the payment as directed. You will receive an alert from Airtel notifying you that the postpaid bill pay has been done. The process is complete and you can continue to use your phone as always.
